THANK YOU.

This day last year was my first day at a whole new job. I left waitressing and took a clerical job in the heart of a 3-story wellness building. I had absolutely zero computer skills and even less of a passion for secretarial work, but I knew I wanted to plant myself in an environment built for learning. I took the job behind the desk for the sole purpose to be eventually standing in FRONT of the desk.
This day last year I stood in a restaurant parking lot speaking with a girlfriend who introduced me to this epic center....
I said, "I once built a business in 3 years."
She replied, "I bet you do it again in under 2."
And she was right.
One year later, those 40 hours have dwindled down to 16, and are slowly still dropping. My website is in full bloom and clients are coming in weekly. Zen Therapy Classes have taken off like a rocket and I can truly say that I feel proud of myself. Is it arrogant, pompous, or boastful to look in the mirror and finally say, "Hey you..you go!." ? Not even a little bit. My inner being is driving my bus more and more these days and I am still learning how to become a master at controlling my vibrational energy...actually, I am still learning so much! And will forever be learning. Learning and teaching. My perfect balance. My world.
I had absolutely no desire of naming a website "chrissyvelez.anything"...so here's to a big Kombuccha raised-glass CHEERS to zentribeguide.com
 - Services truly encompassing MIND, BODY, and SPIRIT. Services from my heart center, my own soul, and with pure intent. A website I can look at and realize that it is 100% authentic me. No business partner, no 3rd party input, no coat-tail riding. Just...me. A deep cut piece of me to share with the world. I give to the Earth, parts of who I am and who I continue to grow to be...
Thank you for receiving me so quickly.
Namaste & One Love.

WHERE DO YOU RESIDE?

There is this place called "All-About-Me-Ville" and it's growing population is astounding. I should know, I was nestled there for years. I lived right on the corner of Self Ave. and Centered Drive. (LOL) Okay, so you see where i am going with today's blog. Here's the real deal - I moved out of that zone about a year ago. It took several steps for me to officially awaken and grasp the concept of what life would be like if I took a bow on the stage of lif e and allowed the spot light to shine onto someone else's performance for a while. Truth be told, it was the most freeing sensation I have ever experienced!!!! The irony today is that I run into individuals that still patrol those streets on the daily and I cannot help but bounce back and forth between dumbfounded and frustrated. Not sure if you're one of the residents? Or perhaps you wonder if you have crossed paths with a narcissist? Here is how you can tell: 1) Do you find yourself having to repeat...

CRICKET CRICKET

I love social media when it is used with positive intent. I only have a Facebook account, but it really does wonders for me, especially when it  comes to living far away from family. The photos, the story sharing, and the constant connecting that makes it all feel as if i am not that far away anymore. I even cherish all the little moments that can be captured along the journey of life. For example, I have had countless adventures out in the world where you just truly connect with someone. I've danced with a girl on a train into NYC, had a photo op with a teen on a ferry ride, slid down Sliding Rock with a fellow nature lover, and even took a hike with a father & daughter up in the mountains of Asheville. For me, I never have to flashback to a memory that mattered and think, "what ever happened to that person?" Because they are right here, continuing to cross paths with me thru our Facebook pages. What a lovely concept. Like, a permanent childhood pen-pal. This...
