We tend to fear the dark. Perhaps, it's the learned phobia forced into us via television, film, and quintessential campfire ghost stories being twisted, turned, and passed around for entertainment and the purpose of pure terror. As humans, we have a natural instinct to fear the unknown. Socially, we often take it a step further and judge, criticize, and reject all things that we do not understand. We are taught at a young age to gasp in horror when we are alone and the lights flicker, a door closes, or an object slides across the room. If you were programmed "correctly" than just by reading this could send shivers down your spine and coat your arms in goosebumps.
Now imagine a sunny afternoon at the park. A stranger sits down next to you on the park bench and joins you in random, but pleasant conversation. A soul reaching out to you for comfort, companionship, and just simple attention. Funny, how both these stories are so much alike, yet we separate them like night and day. Literally and metaphorically! (LOL)
Things that go "bump in the night" are simply humans. A person longing for your attention. Yes, maybe a ghost of a soul not yet crossed over or even more amazing, a spirit person, such as a relative who is visiting you and missing you madly. Both circumstances require nothing from you, including being afraid. As someone who has a lifetime of experiencing both ghost AND spirit visits, feeling afraid became a natural part of my daily routine. How exhausting. And I am learning, how unnecessary. The more I embrace my internal emphatic & intuitive gifts, the stronger I feel within the parameters of my environment. I am also slowly learning how to control and trust my times of "tuning-in" so that maybe...just maybe...I could be of some help to a family member, friend, or anyone else in need. Both living and non-living.
Today's blog is dedicated to my new friend and psychic mentor, Andrea Lynn, owner of Ghostcrossers. I am so beyond grateful for your guidance, wisdom, and direction. I am learning so much already and am excited to have begun this journey with you.
.....it's funny how we fear the dark. It was from the dark we were created. It was 9 months of dark that surrounded us in the most comforting space ever designed to hold us; The Womb. The womb is made up of pure love. Unconditional and protecting love. And all completely without a night-light
