MILITARY CHECK POINTS

This morning I learned that majority of the husbands away for training have in fact, been able to stay in contact with their wives via int ernet such as email and/or Facebook. I do not know the details or the extent of such a luxury, but I can tell you, I have not been one of them. It would be very easy for both ego and anxiety to take the wheel and drive this mental bus right off the cliff of fear. But as I have blogged about before and learned throughout my Life Caching Certifications, fear is a damn liar. As a military wife, I see it all too often that we are each quick to compare lives, stories, and husband's. That would be a grave mistake. I am much older than most inside this community, so I work my ass off trying to lead by example and rock that "big sister" vibe. Today would be one of those times. Before getting lost inside the "he doesn't really love me" merri-go-round thoughts of pure suck, it is important to PAUSE. The pause button is everyt...

LES BROWN

Earlier this morning I stood at my wall and stared at a piece of paper I printed off the computer back in the spring. It was an email I had received from my mother who wrote one sentence, "Never give up on your dreams." Today, I am not entirely sure what my dreams are anymore. I was always running 90mph towards something. Some vision. Lately, I feel blank. For the first time in my life, I don't know what I want. I know what I enjoy. I enjoy writing and dancing. I e njoy nature walks with my puppy and spiritual chats with close friends. But as for a grand goal, I am currently stuck. This past year started out with a bang as I ran full force towards a laundry list of certifications that included Reiki and Life Coaching. I was leading Women's Circles and taking over the town. This morning I realized that somewhere along the way, I stopped. Without his knowledge of my morning thoughts, a good friend of mine randomly sent me a YouTube video with Les Brown as the spea...

A CAPTURED MOMENT

The photo below is one I contemplated to post or not to post. The truth is, I really wanted to blog about this moment in time. My mother always encouraged my writing and I base all my blogs off authentic, raw, truth. So my deepest apologies to those who feel this picture is just "too much." Please know that I mean no disrespect. At the time it was taken, we actually had no idea. A girlfriend of mine saw an opportunity to catch something...and she was right. My mother's favorite moments were those moments she got to catch Nicole and I simply being sisters. With an almost 7 year ago gap it was easy for my big sis to sometimes take on the role as another parental figure. But every so often, we would connect on the same level. Sisters. Today our personality differences list by the mile and our lives are Ying Yang, but the love that is there is very real and no matter what, we got each other's back. My mother would glow when she got to see those moments. It lit her...

THROGS NECK BRIDGE

It was about 1am this past Friday, 11/10, that I hit the ground running. With a suitcase loaded-up car, I threw it in drive and hit I-95 solo. I drove through the night with nothing but my thoughts. Even though my heart was heavy, it was oddly comforting... I checked in with my Dad each pit-stop and even sent him my direct location. (Thank you Apple technology.) With every passing hour, I couldn't help but wonder, "would I make it?" The truth is...I didn't  want to. I did not want my mother holding on for me. I did not want her to suffer a second longer than she had too. And I do not believe my soul could handle seeing her in that condition. Over the last few months, we spoke about "that moment." Numerous times. My mother had a different kind of relationship with each person in her life. Ours was special. She was the only one who truly just, got me. Understood me. She knew me. She knew who I was and who I wasn't. And loved me unconditionally. She un...

MOM'S EULOGY

On Friday, November 10th 2017, my mother decided she had enough cancer and she set her soul free. The next 48 hours that followed have been a whirlwind of LOVE. Sadness was present, but love overtook it all...with strength sitting like a cherry on top and unity being the sprinkles. Last night, I took a seat next to my father and watched my sister step up - and I don't just mean to the front of the room. She was like a beautiful Phoenix. A natural leader and forever an inspiration to me, my sister stood at the podium and spoke...... This is the eulogy she wrote, read, and truly blessed us with. With a proud heart I share it with you all: "My mom~ Less than six months ago, my mother walked into my house, ushered me into my backyard and with tears in her eyes, we sat down. I knew what she was going to say before she uttered a word… I just wanted to freeze time… to stop the awful news from coming but I couldn’t and she whispered to me that she had cancer. And we cried and ...

SOL7 ON FACEBOOK

WELCOME TO MY SOL7 BLOG - Welcome friends, family, and those just passing through. My creativity is everything to me, not just for the fun, but I use it as an outlet. Writing, dancing, and painting are just a couple therapeutic tools to name a few. I am a 33 year old free-spirit vegan, puppy mom, wife to a US Marine, and empathetic intuitive. I have recently learned to channel my gifts by incorporating Reiki, crystals, and Tarot cards into my way of living. Earth is my medici ne and my family is my entire world. My husband is without a doubt my Twin Flame and I often struggle finding my footing when he is away. So....I write. I blog daily about our hiking adventures, random paranormal activity, and various dreams that I believe to be messages directly from the Universe. I start each day by giving thanks and gratitude to God, my spirit guides, and ancestors for all the blessings I am experiencing during this human journey. Everything is connected. THANK YOU for following this blog page ...

32

"32" The Universe loves to give me signs to help me along my little Earth journey here and I very much love to receive them. Some days I am flooded with information and other days I feel thirsty, nearly getting a bit demanding. (LOL) The times that the Universe is loud, I take it all in, listen, and remain grateful. Often, passing the information along to others that I think may also enjoy it.... Especially here on the SOL7 blog page! The moments the Universe is kinda quiet,  I let that be time in which I remain quiet too. Songs, names, symbols, dreams, passing conversations, billboards, images, animals, etc...these are all some of the tools that the other realm uses to get my attention and pass along a message that be helpful for that moment, day, or simply to make me smile and feel less lonely. NUMBERS is a big one. I was first introduced to my Spirit Number as 43 about 12 years ago. Since then, I have been able to connect certain numbers with certain meanings or message...
